Fruit of the Spirit - Week 1
The character of Jesus can be summed up in what the book of Galatians calls the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. But if we want to look like Jesus, we need to rely on the same source of power that Jesus did - the Holy Spirit. In this sermon, we look at the Spirit behind the fruit.
About this series: If you were going to describe Jesus' personality, the list known as the fruit of the spirit would be a good place to start. Stuff like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These are virtues most of us want, and yet if we're honest we often fall short of. If we want to look more like Jesus, we need to rely on the same source of power that Jesus did - the Holy Spirit. This series is an invitation to look at what kind of people God is helping us to become, to look at the fruit we were made to produce when we live in step with God's Spirit.
